The Dubai Future District Fund (DFDF), the evergreen venture fund that aims to boost startup and venture capital investing and business activity in Dubai and the region, has announced the launch of its Venture Fellows programme and invites eligible aspiring Emirati venture capitalists and entrepreneurs to apply.
The objective of the programme is to empower the next generation of Emiratis in venture capital by sharing with them the knowledge and practical skills required to drive innovation or become tech investors and entrepreneurs. This is the first venture capital-focused programme of its kind in the UAE that focuses on empowering the local community, with a curriculum that is tailored to the region.
About the fellowship
The Dubai Future District Fund Venture Fellows programme empowers Emiratis with the knowledge and practical skills required to become investors in the venture capital industry.
The programme will commence on 1 February 2023, and consists of four modules spread over 12 months with digital and in-person touchpoints. The workshops will be delivered by experienced venture capital investors that are committed to empowering the next generation of Emirati investors and entrepreneurs.
Programme outcomes:
- Learning, mentorship, and networking with some of the most experienced investors in the region
- Build a strong community of lifelong peers in the venture capital and startup ecosystem
- Learn how to manage the full deal cycle, from sourcing to deploying capital
- Certification of completion by the Dubai Future District Fund
