Health Research and Innovation Grant

The Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DoH) offers the Health Research and Innovation Grant, providing funding of up to AED 2 million to support researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs within the Emirate's healthcare ecosystem. The grant focuses on several priority areas, including:

Cell and Gene Therapy
Omics and Precision Medicine
Neurodegenerative and Neuroinflammatory Diseases
Cancer Diagnostics and Therapeutics
Behavioural Health and People of Determination
Emergency Preparedness
Innovation in Health Span and Biology of Aging
Smart Hospitals/Clinics and Telemedicine
Metabolic Syndromes

The grant aims to encourage a culture of research and innovation among healthcare providers and professionals, enhance local capabilities in clinical research, and increase the number of solutions "Made in Abu Dhabi," including local intellectual property.

 

 

Eligibility

The Health Research and Innovation Grant is designed for healthcare professionals, researchers, and innovators based in Abu Dhabi and engaged in projects addressing critical challenges in the healthcare sector. This includes physicians, scientists, pharmacists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare providers aiming to advance medical research and innovation in areas such as cell and gene therapy, precision medicine, and cancer diagnostics. The initiative seeks to support those committed to enhancing patient care and contributing to the development of local healthcare solutions.
